As a heavy-duty gantry machining center, it adopts a robust gantry frame structure with a 1700×1200mm worktable, easily accommodating large molds, engineering machinery parts, and energy equipment structural components. Its extra-wide base and integrated bed design, combined with a reinforced structure, ensure long-term deformation resistance and superior rigidity.

The three axes utilize 45mm roller linear guides, achieving a rapid traverse speed of 16m/min, positioning accuracy of ±0.005/300mm, and repeatability of ±0.003/300mm. When machining aerospace structural parts or precision molds, tolerances are absolutely uncompromising.

Worried about difficult materials like mold steel and cast iron? The standard 18.5kW spindle provides ample low-speed torque, and paired with a BT50 tool holder, it offers exceptional rigidity, ensuring stable and reliable heavy cutting. Equipped with the Mitsubishi M80B system and a 24-tool magazine, tool changes are fast, and cycle time is short.

TJ-M1614 Gantry Machining Center – What can it process?

This machine is specifically designed for batch processing of large, heavy-duty parts. The following are the types of parts it can directly process:

Large Molds: Automotive body panel mold inserts, appliance mold cavity plates, mold frames, etc. Roughing and finishing are completed in a single setup, with surface tolerances ≤0.05mm and no obvious tool marks.

Construction Machinery: Excavator boom connectors, crane slewing bearing seats, construction machinery housings. The worktable has a load capacity of 3.5 tons, and the X-axis travel is 1.7 meters. Multi-face milling and drilling can be completed in a single setup.

What precautions should be taken when using a gantry machining center?

 

Operators should be familiar with and understand the performance and characteristics of the gantry machining center. Ensure the emergency stop switch can work quickly and effectively in an emergency to avoid injury. Wear personal protective equipment as required; gloves are strictly prohibited during operation. Never touch electronic switches with wet hands while the equipment is operating to avoid electric shock. Never touch any moving parts with your hands.

Tools or unprocessed workpieces must not be placed on the gantry machining center or moving objects. Computer desks or workbenches next to the machine must be stable and must not be placed on moving parts. When loading or unloading workpieces, the machine should be stopped first. Maintain an appropriate distance between the workpiece and the tool. Do not open the front door or left and right covers while the machine is running to avoid personal injury. After setting up the tool, please perform a dry run to ensure the program is correct. In the event of a power outage or emergency stop, the three axes should return to their initial mechanical positions. Do not disassemble the limit switches or any components related to safety switches without authorization.
